I'm a cognitive psychologist at The Ohio State University. I use mathematical models, behavioural experiments and machine learning to study perception, workload capacity and decision-making in people and teams.

My current work examines uncertainty in AI systems and how people decide when to rely on them. I also develop computational methods and research tools for testing cognitive theories. I'm interested in turning advances in cognitive science and AI into practical tools people can understand and use.

Research Highlights

Human-AI Teams

How does AI uncertainty information shape human trust and decision quality? What cognitive costs arise when humans coordinate with AI agents — and how can we reduce them? My work addresses these questions with controlled experiments and quantitative models.

Cognitive Modeling

Building and testing formal accounts of information processing, and developing inference methods that connect those accounts with behavioural data.

Perception & Vision

Using judgments, recognition errors and cognitive models to investigate perceptual similarity, expertise and the information people extract from images.
